A 32-YEAR-OLD man who was allegedly responsible for a stabbing death surrendered to the Macabalan police here on Tuesday.

Fernando Manglao, a resident of Barangay Puntod, yielded to PO3 Collins Lubguban of the Macabalan police after he was linked to the stabbing and killing of one Monggit Timaan in Jan. 22.

Police said the stabbing death was a result of an altercation between Manglao and Timaan while they were in a drinking binge.

Police said Manglao repeatedly stabbed Timaan until the victim died.

Manglao said he fled and went into hiding with no plan to turn himself in.

“Pero na kunsensyahan ko’g ayo. ’Di ko katulog murag gakakita nako ang dagway sa namatay busa nakahukom ko’g surrender,” Manglao said.

Manglao is now detained at the Police Station 5 in Macabalan, and would be brought to court.

Meanwhile, two best friends are now behind bars after they were arrested for alleged possession of illegal drugs.

Arrested during a buy-and-bust operation by the Carmen police were Raymond Rodriguez a.k.a. Ngotsngots, 33, of Zone 6, San Guillermo St., Barangay Kauswagan, and his friend John Noel Escarten, 21, of Barangay Indahag.

Senior Insp. Denver Vergara, said the operation was conducted at Barangay 14 at around 10 pm.

Police said the suspects yielded a sachet of suspected, a P500-marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities also seized a purple Yamaha motorcycle with license plate MV-1001-291-331.
