MISAMIS Oriental provincial board member Leonard Winstanley was reelected as president of the province’s Liga ng mga Barangay.

Winstanley’s reelection bid was uncontested. His reelection means he would continue representing the Liga in the provincial board. Winstanley is a barangay chairman from Talisayan.

Barangay chairman Rene Fabria of Panyawan in Manticao town won as vice president of the association, according to provincial board member Gerardo Sabal.

Barangay chairman Franklin Panulaya from Balingoan was also elected as auditor of the province’s Liga ng mga Barangay.

The new set of directors of the Liga board would choose from among themselves their secretary and treasurer.

Elected directors were barangay chairpersons Manuel Sofocado from Libertad, Agustin Sabugaa from Sugbongcogon, Emmanuel Felix Pupos from Medina, Edgar Priscion from Tagoloan, Jean Paul Redondo from Salay, Leo Galarroza from Initao, Desiderio Gabe from Lugait, and Arsenionito Kho from Binuangan.

The new set of Liga officers in the province were immediately sworn in by Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano.
