Iligan City — The National Bureau of Investigation chief said he is “hurt” over the arrest of a drug suspect who turned to be a kidnap victim he rescued years back.
Lawyer Abdul Jamal Dimaporo, NBI chief of this city yesterday said the drug suspect they caught possessing pack of marijuana in the car on Monday was the same person he rescued.
The NBI chief said one of the drug suspect was a kidnap victim two years ago who was rescued by his team in a deserted area in Munai, Lanao del Norte.
Dimaporo said they arrested Cedric Nicole Jamias, 25, a resident of Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat. Jamias, he added, is a licensed electronics and communications engineer. He was one of the four students of MSU – Iligan Institute of Technology kidnapped two years ago and rescued by his team.
He said was a kidnap victim two years ago and his family had requested his team to rescue him and the others. “It is ironic and it hurts,” Dimaporo said.
Also arrested was Kevin Christopher Sedema, 26, and a 16 year old student of the Iligan City National High School.
