Iligan City — Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz bared that his group will launch their “opening salvo” today with a mass at the city hall grounds at 1 pm.
Vera Cruz said the candidates will then march towards the city public plaza, dressed mostly in red together with their supporters.
He added that his group has peace and order as its main platform because with peace and order, everything will follow, like investors coming in as there is political stability, tourism, and all the other aspects that come with development. He even talked of what the city had done during the so called “Marawi seige” in 2017 in which there were several emergency meetings so that peace in the city will still be maintained.
The team to note too, is also called GaReVe to mean Leony Roy Ga, Celso Regencia and Vera Cruz for the positions of Congressman, Mayor and Vice Mayor respectively. Ga, who is not an incumbent like the mayor and vice mayor, is a retired police chief in the city.
