Iligan City — “It’s time to move on and support the winning mayor.”

Thus said erstwhile candidate for mayor businessman Marianito Alemania, even as he thanked his supporters for giving him over 47,000 votes in the last elections.

“As a first-timer in politics, that is something,” he added, stressing that he is not someone who dwells in negativity for a long time. “One has to count his blessings and you will find out that there are plenty compared to the snags.”

To recall, Alemania lost to city mayor Celso Regencia and his Vice Mayor Sammy Huertas lost to incumbent Jemar Vera Cruz. Incumbent lone district representative Frederick Siao in their “blue” team won over the “red’ team of Regencia, even as four of their candidates for councilors won.

Alemania, Chief Executive Officer of Madelicious Foods Corporation, said he had lost his focus on his businesses during the campaign.

Asked further on his businesses, he said that his “floating restaurant” in Bohol will be completed soon. It is situated between Tagbilaran City and Panglaw, he added. This  concept is taken from Budapest, Hungary.

“If a party is held here, there will be no gate crashers. Nor will there be individuals who will be leaving early,” he said in jest. He also talked about the general conference held Wednesday evening at the Alemania Hotel where awards were given to deserving employees of Madelicious. To note, Alemania’s corporation has branches not only in the city but elsewhere in the Visayas and Mindanao.
