On Monday, Ian Achas said his nearby barangays and municipalities such as Tagoloan including Jasaan and from that of Cugman and Bugo, among others, should abide by the national law that there shall be no motorized sikad in the national highway.

“Congested na kaayo ang among barangay, apektado nata apil na ang mga negosyante mulihok na gyud ta kay wa nay nagpakabana,” Achas said.

Achas cited Barangay Bugo, who according to him, has over 500 registered trisikads not to mention those that are colorum.

Naghangyo ko nga ayaw lang na ipadagan ang 500 sa akong barangay kay affected ang atong traffic, 200 lang,” Achas appealed.

He added that not just Barangay Bugo but neighboring municipalities, as well, such of Tagoloan, Sta. Ana (barangay), Jasaan and even trisikads coming from Claveria town also enter his barangay which he said has pushed him to strictly implement the regulation of the tri-wheeled vehicles.

Despite city council’s call regarding the matter, Achas reiterated that these tri-wheeled vehicles will be stopped from entering his barangay.

I-implement nato ang national law. Lisod ba diay na,” Achas rhetorically asked.
