SUSPECTED New People’s Army guerrillas burned a boom truck of Del Monte-Philippines in Sitio Karang-karang, Barangay Kalasungay in Malaybalay City in Bukidnon the other night.
Camp Alagar spokesman Col. Mardy Hortillosa said the Malaybalay City Police Office is currently investigating the incident to ascertain the names of the rebels who burned the heavy equipment and the NPA unit behind the attack carried out at around 7:30 pm Wednesday.
He said an undetermined number of rebels attacked the Area 57 of Del Monte and burned the heavy equipment.
Hortillosa said they also want to find out if the incident was in connection with “extortion” activities of the Maoist rebels. (Nitz Arancon)
