A 24-YEAR-OLD man poisoned himself with an insecticide in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, on Wednesday.
Police identified the suicide as Renjie Bibojan of Zone 1, Barangay Sta. Cruz in Tagoloan.
The victim was found outside their house around 7 pm Wednesday.
He was rushed by workers from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to the St. Paul Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 8:15 pm.
Bibojan’s live-in partner Jieann Raniel Tagolimot, 30, said she and the suicide fought earlier because of financial problems.
Bibojan’s friend Kim Casiño recalled asking Bibojan to join him for dinner but the latter supposedly told him, “Gikapoy nako ’nong. Mulakaw sa ko magpalit ko ug lanit.”
Witnesses said they saw Bibojan drink something and then the man started throwing up as he struggled to walk towards them.
Police found a softdrink bottle from which Bibojan drank from.
