CAGAYAN de Oro City taxpayers can now pay their taxes through LandBank Electronic Payment Portal (EPP), an alternative payment channel that allows clients to pay their taxes via internet.

This developed after the 18th City Council during its regular session enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the LandBank of the Philippines, to cover the city’s adoption of the EPP.

Under LandBank EPP, city’s clients may transact business and pay monetary obligations to City Hall via the internet using any of the ePayment models being offered by LandBank.

Pursuant to the agreement, the Landbank shall provide EPP to be directly transacted by the city’s taxpayers or to interface, if applicable, with city’s web application and be able to perform the online payment by LandBank and city hall clients.

LandBank shall also ensure that necessary security is in place, coordinate with the city for the connectivity, user acceptance, pilot testing and full implementation of the EPP project where LandBank is involved, among others.

For its part, city hall shall ensure the availability of its internet facility to LandBank, to provide relevant information, data and/or technical support during the pre-implementation stage up to the full implementation stage of the EPP. (cli)
