A WOMAN, believed to be a lesbian, killed herself by drinking a bottle of hydrogen peroxide at Zone 12-B, Upper Carmen.
Police said the suicide identified as Arceneth Mardia, 20, of Pangantucan, Bukidnon, was found dead inside her room by her aunt Annabelle Madria at around 6 am yesterday.
PO3 Paul Naces of the Carmen police said Mardia, who worked at Columbia Hardware in Carmen, left a suicide note that hinted that she killed herself because of another woman surnamed Santillan.
“Santillan iya name ’te. Salamat sa tanan. I love you. Sorry kaayo,” Mardia wrote. She then left the cellphone number of the woman.
Dr. West Edquila, medico legal officer of the Scene of Crime Operatives (Soco), said investigators found a bottle of hydrogen peroxide beside Mardia’s body but he could not say yet if it was the cause of death until the autopsy result is out.
Annabelle said Mardia attempted suicide before. “Kaduhana kana niya gihimo, pero karon, namatay nagyuud intawon siya.” (nitz arancon)
