It appears that she has a standing warrant of arrest for libel arising from a material she allegedly copy-pasted on Facebook during the campaign for the midterm elections.

She is known to be a member of the staff of candidate – now Councilor – Simplicio N. Larrazabal III.

Torralba was accompanied by her lawyer from the Padilla Law Office here.

After the normal booking procedures, Torralba was brought to the Hall of Justice for appearance before the Court where she was said to have posted a bail bond of P30,000 for her temporary liberty pending trial.

Torralba did not give a statement before the reporters as she would submit to the processes of the court.

It was learned that the complainant is the mayor of this city who was alleged to be the subject of the Facebook post.

It was later learned that according to the police report: “Personnel of ICPS 5 and RIU 10 under the supervision of P/Maj. Abalde as implemented the WOA against the subject by virtue of WOA for the Crime of Libel under sec 4 (c)(4) of Ra 10175 in cc nr 19-22915 issued by Hon. Silvestre Orejana, presiding judge of RTC Br 5 I.C. issued on July 25.”
