Capt. Vincent Claud, head of the Bukidnon provincial police tracking team, identified the suspect as Crisilyn Batican, 39, a worker in Saudi Arabia.

Police said Batican is from Purok 1, Barangay New Compostela Valley in Damulog town, Bukidnon.

Batican is facing cases of illegal recruitment and estafa in Quezon City, as well as online libel and libel cases in Cagayan de Oro.

Claud said they served four warrants of arrest to Batican as soon as she arrived home.

S/Sgt. Alan Coludo said they received information that Batican was expected to return home due to a family member’s death Thursday.

“We waited for her and as soon she arrived, we served the warrants to her,” said Coludo, adding that they turned the suspect over to the Damulog municipal police right after her arrest.

He said Batican told investigators she has been working in Saudi for five years as a nursing aid.

According to Maj. Silvestre Asiong Jr., the Bukidnon provincial police spokesperson, Batican’s arrest warrant for illegal recruitment, with case number 12-189840, was issued by Judge Charito Gonzales, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 80 in Quezon City, on June 28, 2013.

Gonzales also issued an arrest warrant dated June 28, 2013 for three counts of estafa. The judge recommended P18,000 for each count.

Another warrant of arrest for two counts of online libel was issued by Judge Dennis Alcantar of RTC Branch 18 on July 17, 2018, and one count of libel issued by Judge Emmanuel Pasal of RTC Branch 38, all in Cagayan de Oro.

In the online libel, a bailbond of P48,000 was recommended for each count. The libel case has a bailbond of P20,000.

In the case of illegal recruitment, no bailbond was recommended, although Coludo said Batican admitted that she was not able to post bail as she already left for Saudi Arabia when the warrant came out.

Coludo said the suspect has not provided details on the other cases she is facing.
