This paper saw the barangay tanods could hardly control the people crowding the barangay hall entrance. The city’s social distancing policy was not implemented.

One resident complained that she wasn’t able to avail of the freebie since she was torn between violating the city’s curfew hours and the risk of getting infected with Covid-19.

In a public post of the barangay treasurer on Facebook, Alma Abrio, she reasoned that the donation of Gama Foods arrived at their office at 7 pm. She said they had to distribute the donation because the village doesn’t have a freezer to contain the volume of chicken offal.

She said they had to distribute the donation that night since the items are highly perishable.

(cbc)
