The IT world is a platform of significant achievements and valuable solutions for every business. In recent years, this industry has improved much as it is one of the fast-growing areas.

The breakout of coronavirus in 2020 forced people to change the rhythm of their lives and a working mode. Thus, it affected many IT companies and forced them to work remotely. Due to the statistics, about 86% of IT companies had to continue their activity remotely since the government introduced the lockdown. Other industries were obliged to keep up their work through using various online services as well. Accordingly, such serious changes have also influenced the people’s mentality over the world. The CEO of Generation Partners asset management company, Sergey Kartashov (Sergejs Kartasovs), defines IT directions with respect to global changes.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The massive use of AI-based technologies has become demanded as never before and increased by 40% to $67,9 billion, according to Standford University’s report in 2020. Companies started investing more in manufacturing products which help them get closer to their customers. Most of them have invested in producing educational products, self-driven vehicles, and medical products. Sergey Kartashov notes that giant companies like Google, Airbnb, Spotify, Netflix, and others have leveraged AI tools to provide versatile training courses for their users, entertaining pastimes, and let them keep working and networking with others.

Cloud technologies and framework

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic and introduced quarantine restrictions, enterprises, organizations, and companies have speeded up the process of digitalization within the framework because they had to maintain the entire business processes. Kartashov explains that such a jump into digital implementation involves the investment in various software and cloud services. They offer a range of advantages like energy consumption, faster data processing, reducing operating costs, and so on.

Home delivery services

Sergey Kartashov underlines that since the coronavirus pandemic, three areas have been grouped into one essential: the gaming industry, video technology, and home service startups. Such integration is explained by an opportunity for people to spend their leisure time and undertake their working duties at home. The businessman notes that AI has affected the business world as well as the pastime of the people. The hi-tech tools provide advanced solutions for business leaders to make digital products more appealing and stunning to customers. Once the customer gets a chance to benefit from such eye-catching and improved products, they will never return to their old-fashioned preferences but move ahead by keeping pace with time.

Quality matters more

In our modern world, nothing is actually done without technology. Sergey Kartashov repeatedly emphasizes a strong impact and essential integration of IT into every aspect of human life as well as running a business. It is necessary to determine the trend, but it is not enough to succeed in business. What needs to be considered is an in-depth analysis of the company’s history and its business strategy, selecting promising projects, and other factors. The businessman notes that thorough decision-making solutions lead to building a solid framework and avoiding failure in the future.

Security

When it comes to working online, companies are also interested in keeping their business secure. According to research data, about 40% of companies confronted cyberattacks since they shifted to a remote mode. They are mostly recognized as malware and phishing. Therefore, Kartashov admits that the position of a cybersecurity expert is highly demanded now.
