PERSONNEL of Cagayan de Oro Police Office (Cocpo) scored anew when they arrested a female suspect in the proliferation of fake driver’s licenses in the city.

Police City Director Aaron Mandia, identified the suspect as Precious Sharleen Gallardo, 30, a resident of 31st street, Nazareth, this city.

She was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by Agora police spearheaded by Police Capt. Ernesto Sanchez, along 12th St. Nazareth Subdivision, near San Antonio de Padua Parish church of this city on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.

Seized from the possession of the suspect were seven pieces of P1,000 bills consisting of one thousand genuine money and six pieces of “boodle” money.

Prior to the arrest, Mandia said a certain Noel Catamora went to his office complaining that some of his companions were being victimized by Gallardo of fake driver’s licenses presumably issued by the Land Transportation Office-10.

Catamora told Mandia that the suspect collected each individual P7,000 for the said purpose.

Mandia said Catamora and company thought they were dealing a legitimate fixer of the LTO, who promised them genuine licenses.

The suspect, who is now under the custody of Agora Police, will be facing a charge in court for falsification of a public document under RPC 172 and RA 4136 of the Transportation Law.
