A 24-year-old city hall employee was arrested by authorities for illegal possession of drugs and ammunition during a raid on his residence, Tuesday this week.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Candido Orong Jr., a resident of Purok 8, Barangay Guinoyuran, Valencia City of the said province.
The suspect is connected with City Maintenance Office at Valencia City hall.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency tagged him as second on their watch list at the provincial level.
Orong was arrested by Valencia City Police Station led by Police Lt. Jonel Antique, together with Bukidnon Drug Enforcement Unit, and Regional Special Operation Unit-10.
The raiding team was armed with the search and Seizure warrant issued by Judge Eldred Cole of the Regional Trial Court 10th Judicial Region, Branch 45, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon dated March 28, 2022.
Seized from the suspect were 4 big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P63,240.
The search was witnessed by Barangay Captain Renato Abella of Guinoyuran, Valencia City, and a representative from the Department of Justice Majaira Canonigo.
