POLICE investigators and operatives are now in the process of gathering persons of interest in relation to the killing of an Israeli last night.

This was revealed by Police Major Evan Viñas, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) spokesperson to Gold Star Daily.

Viñas said authorities are now working out to invite them to their headquarters for questioning as soon as possible.

Reuven Baranovitch of 11th-20th streets Nazareth was shot to death by motorcycle-riding suspects just meters away from his rented apartment at about 6 pm.

The victim was riding a motorcycle when the incident occurred.

Cocpo chief Col. Aaron Mandia said they will do their best to solve and serve justice to the victim by any means in order that the culprits will face the consequence and pay the price of their action.

In relation to the said killing, the city director is also appealing to the general public to give information relative to the incident so that “efforts may in one way or the other will be a key to give swift solution to the incident.”

Baranovitch was into the lending business.

“We are urging the public to immediately report to police authorities or may text or call Cocpo hotline through 0917-771-3663,” Mandia said.
