Complete details: A Facebook post shared by user Jo-Ne-Gie on February 11 shows a page from Ilocos Bulletin showing a picture and a statement by pop singer Brittney Spears that she will vote for incumbent Vice President and 2022 Presidential candidate Ma. Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo.
Why we fact-check this: This is fake news as there is no proof that Ms. Spears has uttered this statement, coupled with the fact that she is also not a citizen of the Philippines and not a registered voter. Additional check into the Facebook page of Ilocos Bulletin has shown that it last posted in 2020, and the purported post from them was dated February 11, 2022.
