A 51-year-old jeepney driver who was charged with five counts of child abuse cases was arrested by policemen in Iligan City Wednesday.
The warrant of arrest issuing judge allowed the suspect to enjoy his temporary liberty if he can post a bail bond amounting to P1,000,000.
Iligan City Police Director Dominador Estrada, identified the suspect as Glenn Descallar, married, residing at Purok 3A, St. Michael Heights, Barangay Buru-un of the said city.
The suspect, who was tagged by authorities as the number 5 most wanted person at the police station level, was nabbed by personnel of Police Station 2 of the said city at 5 pm in the suspect’s residence.
In order for the suspect to enjoy his temporary freedom, Judge Leonor Quiñones of the Regional Circuit Court-Branch 2, Iligan City dated May 23, 2022, recommended a bail bond of P1 million for the five-count cases.
Descallar is now temporarily detained at the mini-cell of Iligan police station headquarters.
