A 32-year-old jeepney driver in Bukidnon was arrested by authorities for illegally possessing a high-caliber firearm and drugs early this morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, the province’s Police Provincial Director, identified the suspect as Carlito Enggay Jr. alias ‘Ostoy,’ married, and a resident of Purok 9, Barangay Halapitan, San Fernando of the said province.
He was arrested by joint personnel from Valencia City Police Station led by Police Lt. Jonel Antique, together with Bukidnon Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Special Operation Unit-10, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-10, and other units in a buy-bust operation at Purok 19, Poblacion, of the said city at 12:48 am.
During his arrest, the suspect yielded a .380 caliber pistol and an empty steel magazine, two sachets with a white substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P6,120.00, and a mobile phone.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Valencia police.
