A 57-year-old engineer of an electric utility company based in Iligan City was arrested by authorities for three counts of sexual abuse cases.
Iligan City Police Office Director Police Col. Dominador Estrada identified the suspect as Rexes Ragmac, married, a resident at Block 14, Barangay Santa Elena of the said city.
The suspect is connected with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines as a senior engineer.
Ragmac, who was tagged by Iligan police as a top 1 most wanted person at the station level, was arrested by intelligence operatives of police station 2 Wednesday, this week at 6 am at Barangay Maria Christina of the same city.
He is facing a string of cases of qualified rape, qualified rape through sexual assault, and statutory rape.
Judge Mylene Macumbal of the Regional Trial Court-10, Branch 2, Iligan City, who issued the warrant of arrest, recommended Ragmac no bail bond for the qualified and statutory rapes but allowed the latter to put up P120,000 as bail bond for the qualified rape through sexual assault cases.
The suspect is temporarily detained at station 2 mini-cell for a proper disposition while waiting for the return of the warrant and presentation of the arrested person to the issuing court.
