AUTHORITIES seized more than a million worth of suspected shabu from a female habal-habal driver and her live-in partner yesterday afternoon.
Police Lt. Alwin Baclao, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-10, identified the suspects as Adelina Pagalan, 47, widow, and resident of Barangay 36, and Abdulwahid Tago, 41, a native of Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
RDEU-10 operatives arrested the suspects while in their house they were staying at Sitio Paglaum, Barangay Upper Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City at 8 pm, Wednesday.
Prior to the arrest, a poseur buyer was able to buy a sachet of shabu worth P2,000 from Pagalan.
The raiding team further confiscated from the suspects’ possession five more sachets of different sizes with an estimated amount of P1,360,000, weighing 200 grams.
In an interview with Pagalan, she said she already stopped selling drugs since her release from jail four years ago when she was arrested for the same offense.
Regarding the confiscated drugs, she said she has nothing to do with it saying, it was just left to them by a friend of his partner.
“Dugay nako giundang ana sir, ga drayb nalang gani ko og habal-habal para mabuhi nako akong unom kamaganak. Nag ila mi ani akong pares mga duha pa lang ka semana pinaagi sa chatting,” Pagalan said.
Baclao told reporters, he and his men had been monitoring the illegal trade of Pagalan as their priority target.
He said the suspect got the drugs from a source at Lanao del Sur.
The suspects are now temporarily detained at Maharlika Detention Cell pending the filing of a case.
