“DON’T let me down,” goes a Beatles song played by Wlkman band yesterday evening at Limketkai Mall, this city ― an apt appeal for donations ― for the survivors of the flash floods in Misamis Occidental.

Mallgoers were treated to a live band performance as it hosted “Tabang Misamis Occidental: Concert for a Cause.” A fund drive for Misamis Occidental affected by Amihan Shear Line on December 24 at the mall’s rotunda at 7 pm on December 28.

“Actually, in-kind among gina campaign, like food, diapers, used clothing, toiletries, ug bottled water,” Liezl Lando, one of the organizers said.

The charity concert was spearheaded by the Junior Chamber International, (JCI) Bai Lawanen Chapter with the participation of Limketkai Center management, and local civic organizations Diri Husi, Dayeg Movement, and Eksena CDO.

The activity started on December 27 and will run until December 30, with different local bands taking turns in providing entertainment and calling for appeals for donations.

They plan to bring all cash and in-kind donations.

Donations may be brought to the mall’s Customer Service Kiosk.
