DIGOS City ― After 4 years of hiding from the clutches of the law, a 44-year-old man wanted by the court of law for alleged rape charges finally fell into the hands of the authorities on April 27.

Jamiri Sahedain Diwan, self-employed, and a resident of Chapter-10, Christian Village, Barangay Aplaya, Digos City is listed among the Most Wanted Persons (MWP) in the region, Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios said in a report.

Diwan was the subject of an Arrest Warrant for Rape in Criminal Case Number FC-124(2018) issued by RTC Branch-61 Judge Carfelita Cadiente-Flores based in Digos City issued on May 21, 2019, with no bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty.

The police operatives said they recovered one (1) heat-sealed transparent sachet of suspected shabu, a .38 caliber revolver with 4 live ammunition, a RealMe cellular phone, and P390 cash during the conduct of the search and seizure.

The recovered ‘shabu’ weighs more or less 0.13 grams with an estimated market value of P1,950.

He is currently placed under custody at Digos police station.
