A 39-year-old businesswoman in Iligan City was arrested by authorities last Wednesday, this week for failure to pay Social Security System (SSS) contributions.
Iligan City Police Director Reinante delos Santos, identified the suspect as Lizel Oñana, single, residing at Oxford Street, Barangay Tubod of the said city.
She was arrested by personnel assigned at police station 4 led by Police Capt. Reiner Escalante, Deputy station commander at her residence at 9 am.
The raiding team was armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Leonor Quiñones of the Regional Trial Court (RTC-10), Branch 6, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
The said arrest was done in violation of the Social Security Act of 2018.
The judge recommends the suspect post a bail bond of P18,000 for her temporary liberty.
