A 39-year-old carpenter is now in jail after he was arrested by authorities for seven counts of statutory rape last Wednesday at 2 pm.
Police Col. Restituto Lacano, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspect as Marlon Tagotongan, single (but with a live-in partner) and a resident of Zone 5, Barangay Kinawe, Libona of the said province.
The suspect, who was tagged by the police as the 10th most wanted person in the province, was arrested at his residence.
He was arrested by personnel of the Libona Municipal Police Station led by Police Capt. Manolito Budo together with Regional Intelligence Unit-10.
The said operation was by virtue of a warrant of arrest for sexual abuse issued by the court.
No bail bond was recommended for the suspect’s supposed temporary liberty.
