BLINDING jealousy led a man to stab his spouse several times.
The incident took place last Thursday at Purok 5, Barangay Lindaban, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
Police Corporal John Napone of the Manolo Fortich Police Station in Bukidnon and the officer on the case identified the victim as Mylyn Socorin, 48, a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Lindaban of the said town.
The husband was identified as Nestor Socorin, 58, a laborer, and residing at the said place.
“Nagsugod man gud na ang selos sa bana sa dihang gaduda siya nga adunay ka textmate iyang asawa. Sigi na dayon sila og away,” Police Major Harvy Sanchez, Manolo Fortich Police Station Chief, said.
On Thursday morning the couple again had a quarrel that resulted in the stabbing incident.
The victim was brought to the nearest hospital only to be declared dead by an attending physician due to multiple stabbed wounds to the different parts of her body.
After the incident, the suspect surrendered to the responding policemen.
According to the remorseful husband, he really loved his wife which is why when he discovered that she had a textmate he became furious which resulted in hurting her.
He is now under the custody of Manolo Fortich police pending filing an appropriate case.
