Members from the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao actively took part in the extensive tree planting endeavor.

Key locations in Luzon, such as Pampanga, Benguet, and Cavite, were identified as venues for this eco-conscious initiative.

The idea for the nationwide tree planting activity originated when Eagle Eric Daabay, the President of the Royal Knights Eagle Club in  Cagayan de Oro City, observed a decline in tree planting practices within the Fraternal Organization.

He promptly contacted various Eagles Regions, proposing the concept of a simultaneous nationwide tree planting activity.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to the realization of this ambitious endeavor.

Daabay emphasized the significance of tree planting, stating that it provides an additional protective layer for our precious mother Earth.

He further highlighted the importance of replacing trees that have been cut down due to deforestation for residential purposes.

“Trees play a crucial role in preventing soil erosion, maintaining ecological balance, and generating clean and fresh air,” said Daabay.

With the success of this initiative, members anticipate regular tree planting activities to ensure the growth of more trees.

Marking a significant date on the calendar, the 3rd Saturday of June each year has been designated as the annual nationwide simultaneous tree planting activity, complementing the various tree planting efforts undertaken sporadically.

Daabay explained that the nationwide tree planting endeavor by the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine signifies a commendable commitment to environmental preservation, highlighting the collective responsibility to safeguard our planet for future generations.

“The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine has always been committed to environmental causes, and this nationwide tree planting campaign is just one of the many initiatives they have undertaken to protect the environment,” Daabay stressed.

He said that the organization believes that tree planting is an effective way to mitigate the effects of climate change, reduce carbon emissions, and provide habitats for wildlife.

The campaign was not limited to just planting trees. Eagles members were also tasked with maintaining the trees they planted, ensuring their survival and growth.

The organization hopes that this campaign will inspire more people to take action and do their part in protecting the environment.

One of the key objectives of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine is to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

Through this campaign, the organization hopes to educate people about the importance of trees and their role in the ecosystem.

Eagles members also shared their knowledge and experience in tree planting with local communities, encouraging them to participate in the campaign and plant trees in their own areas.

The campaign was a huge success, with thousands of trees planted across the country. Eagles members were joined by local volunteers and government officials in planting the trees.

The campaign was also covered by the media, raising awareness about the importance of tree planting and the efforts of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine.

The organization plans to continue its environmental advocacy through various initiatives, including waste management, renewable energy, and sustainable living.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine believes that environmental protection is a shared responsibility, and every individual has a role to play in protecting the environment.

The campaign received positive feedback from various sectors, including the government, non-government organizations, and the private sector. Many expressed their support for the initiative and the efforts of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine in protecting the environment.

“The nationwide tree planting campaign was not just also about planting trees, it was also about building partnerships and fostering collaboration among different sectors,” Daabay said.

He added Tmthe campaign brought together Eagles members, local communities, and government officials in a shared effort to protect the environment.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine hopes to inspire more people to take action and contribute to environmental protection.

“Small actions can make a big difference, and that together, we can create a more sustainable future for generations to come,” explained Daabay.

The nationwide tree planting campaign was a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine in protecting the environment.

According to Daabay through their actions, they have shown that environmental protection is not just a goal, but a way of life.
