FOR selling illegal drugs, a 23-year-old suspect in Bukidnon was arrested by authorities Monday, this week.
Police Provincial Director Restituto Lacano, Jr, of the said province, identified the suspect as John Dave Gumban, single, unemployed, and a resident of Purok 9, Barangay Quimtras, Butong, Quezon of the same province.
He was nabbed near his residence by personnel assigned at the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Bukidnon Intelligence Unit (BIU), and Quezon Municipal Police Station at 12 noon.
Seized from the suspect were 14 sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P34,000.00; and a P500 buy-bust money.
The arrested suspect together with Seized Drug and Non-Drug Evidence were brought to Quezon MPS for proper disposition and to be turned over to Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. A case for Violation of RA 9165 is being prepared against the arrested suspect.
Restituto expressed his compliment to the responding personnel for a job well done and a relentless campaign against illegal gambling.
He also encouraged the public to immediately report to the authorities any illegal gambling in their respective area of responsibility as their cooperation.
