Buhisan said Governor Peter M. Unabia wants to improve the Capitol’s nutrition program as he vowed to end the malnutrition problem in the province.

Among the national agencies the Capitol tapped for its expanded nutrition program include the National Nutrition Council, Department of Health, Department of Education, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Labor and Employment, Buhisan added.

He said Unabia is also tying up with the Department of Social Welfare and Development for Capitol’s sustainable feeding program.

Each department mentioned will have its own role in helping the province’s nutrition program, said Buhisan.

Buhisan, however, said malnutrition incidence in the province is already in decline.

He said the governor also plans to strengthen the Barangay Nutrition System in the province.

Tuyo sa gobernador mapalapdan ang BNS tungod kay dako kaayo kini’g tabang sa matag barangay sa pag identify kinsa kadtong mga bata nga malnuris,” said Buhisan.

Meanwhile, Unabia also wants to implement Food Always In The Home (Faith), a program under his administration that encourages every household to plant vegetables in their yard, Buhisan said.
