Security however tightened very much in these areas and everybody is enjoined their due cooperation on the matter. In every entrance and exit area, there are men in uniform guarding it, and even men not in uniform and people entering there are inspected with no back packs, hats, or jackets allowed.

To recall, people here were taken aback by the report that 4 were reported dead and scores wounded in that early Sunday morning blast during the celebration of the holy mass in said area. It was then reported that the priest in that mass identified as Rev. Father Bienvenido Flores, whom reporters wanted to interview, declined as he too was traumatized by said happening. It was then learned that the blast occurred at the center of the gym, a few meters away from the area where said priest was officiating said mass.

Students numbering over 600 were then taken to the MSU – Iligan Institute of Technology gym with the help of this city’s officials and police officers. From there, they were facilitated to go home to their respective areas by the respective government units where they come from. It was not immediately known whether the students would go back to MSU and if so, when they are slated to go back. Here in this city, classes shifted to online but on December 7, face-to-face classes resumed.
