The victims riding a Suzuki 115 motorcycle were identified as Sergio Steven Llanto, 23, and his passenger Haris Villacido, 20, both residents of Zone 3 Sta. Ana Tagoloan. The other victim, riding a Suzuki 125 FI, was Niño Jay Mañego, 23, separated and a resident of the neighboring barangay, Nasalavan.

Identification of the suspects took two hours due to the severe deformation of their faces.

Mary Ann Seriales, 24, a neighbor of Mañego, informed Gold Star Daily News that Mañego was conducting a road test of his new motorcycle, the Raider FI. He even enlisted his younger brother, John Lloyd Mañego, to record a video of him while riding, a decision that ultimately spared the younger brother from the tragic collision.

Nag road test sila sa iyang manghud tan awon daw nya unsa ka kusog mudagan iyang motor,” said Seriales.

The collision occurred when Mañego encountered Llanto’s motorcycle, which lacked a headlight, leading to the fatal accident.

All three victims were rushed to St. Paul Hospital, where they were declared Dead on Arrival due to fatal head and body injuries.

Christopher Villacido, the father of Haris Villacido, the back rider of Llanto, claimed that both his son and Llanto were under the influence of alcohol.

The Dinogon area, where the incident unfolded, is a remote and poorly lit region, not yet open to the public. This area is known for road tests and drag races, particularly during the evening.
