MORE than half a million worth of illegal drugs, a high caliber firearm, and ammunition were confiscated from two Bukidnon residents during a buy-bust operation Wednesday at 1:17 pm.

Police Col. Jovit Culaway, the province’s provincial director, did not divulge the identities of the suspects. He only mentioned that the suspects are residents of Purok-4, Barangay Batangan, Valencia City of the same province.

They were nabbed at Purok 4 of the said barangay by personnel of Valencia City Police Station.

Seized from the suspects were four big sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 82.14 grams with an estimated street value of P558,552; and P5,000 bills.

Also seized from the suspects were a homemade Uzi sub-machine gun with serial number 327157; 2 steel magazines of caliber 9mm, and some personal belongings.

Authorities also impounded a Toyota Altis vehicle color black bearing plate number KVV 947 used by the suspects.

The inventory of the seized pieces of pieces of evidence was conducted by Barangay Councilor Frisco Quirino, Jr. of the said barangay, and a media representative.

Cases in violation of Republic Act 9165 of the anti-illegal drugs and R. A. 10591 or illegal possession of firearms are now being prepared against the suspects who are currently under the custody of Valencia police.
