SP GINGOOG EXTENDS 20% DISCOUNT ON REALTY TAX

GINGOOG City– The Sangguniang Panlungsod here in its session on Wednesday has granted the extension of 20% discount until December this year for the advance payment of the realty tax for 2016.

Vice Mayor Erick G. Canosa said the resolution has granted the extension of 20% discount to all the taxpayer after the Keng Energy

Generation Incorporated KEGI of this city asked city council for that purpose.

Vice Mayor Canosa said he is very optimistic that this move will make

a satisfaction to the tax payer given them a chance to avail a 20% discount supposedly end its deadline last June this year.

Former City Councilor Atty Tetet Mortiz -Arao now SP Secretary had explained under the city ordinance known as revenue code of Gingoog City that every month of June is the deadline of 20% discount for theq”1 advance realty tax payment for the next succeding year.

The city ordinance was approved only this year which many of our tax payer cannot avail the 20% discount because the deadline is already end She said

And with the request from the tax payer the city council has passed a resolution to move or extent the deadline of 20% doscount until December of this year said Atty. Mortiz-Arao Naa paman gud ta ani nga transsition period mao nga daghan pud gyod wala maka avail” she said in vernacular.

Vice Mayor Canosa said the the city council through resolution had give a consideration so that local tax payers can avail 20% discount of their advance payment but only this year 2015.
