At the helm of the order is Peter Lim Lo Suy, the incumbent Sovereign Grand Commander (equivalent of national president) of its Supreme Council. He recently represented the national body in the 107th Biennial Session of Scottish Rite of the Southern Jurisdiction in Washington DC (known to be the mother supreme council of the world) last August 22 to 25.

In 2009, Lim Lo Suy brought honor to the city by becoming the first Kagay-an born Grand Master of Masons. Last year, he served as Potentate, the highest position of the Agila Shriners – a philanthropic Masonic group that is poised to build a very ambitious children’s hospital for crippled and burnt children in Mindanao.

This auspicious affair will not only spur local economic activity but also open business opportunities and goodwill for the city. And it is expected that the Kagay-anon will accord its warm hospitality to its guests as they have always done in the past.

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry is one of the several groups that form part of the worldwide fraternity known as Freemasons. It is the largest and most widely practiced Masonic rite in the world. Its mission is to improve its members and enhance the communities in with they live by teaching and emulating the principles of Masonry which are Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.
