BUTUAN City––Police rescued five underaged teenagers who were allegedly turned into virtual sex slaves in exchange for illegal drugs during an raid inside a lodging house at Capitol Drive, Barangay JP Rizal, authorities said yesterday.
The police in Caraga said a suspect––Walid Saumay, 24, of Barangay Salog, Salvador, Lanao del Norte––was arrested on Friday. Police also collared two other suspected accomplices who were identified as Dondon Lemit, 27, and Mark Ramos, both residents of this city.
Police alleged that the female teenagers were given shabu in exchange for sex. The teenagers were handed over by the police to the social welfare department.
Authorities seized during the raid three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a digital weighing scale, and some P600 in cash.
Police said the three suspects would undergo a drug test at the Police Regional Office’s crime laboratory.
