THE Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has certified that Mayor Oscar Moreno and city treasurer Glenn Bañez are still recognized as the official signatories in all of city hall’s bank accounts and financial transactions.

The City Information Office (CIO) yesterday said the interior department wrote to city hall’s depository banks in response to a memorandum of the city council to the banks, urging them not to disburse funds in view of the ombudsman’s decision to dismiss Moreno and Bañez.
