THIS city’s top cop issued a public advisory for residence to be extra vigilant especially in welcoming the New Year.
City Director Senior Supt. Faro Antonion Olaguera told the Gold Star Daily their office received intelligence reports that the the city faces imminent threat from “lawless elements.”
Olaguera, however, refused to name any particular group that is reportedly threatening to disrupt New Year revelers.
“Ang ako lang advisory, nga mag-vigilant gyud ang katawhan, ug kon dunay ilang makita nga mga bag, cartoon or whatever baggages nga gibiya-an, ilang ieport dayon sa atong mga pulis,” said Olaguera.
Olaguera added he has already ordered all city police personnel to be on “double alert” status because of the intelligence report.
The intelligence report, Olaguera said, shows that the lawless elements would target malls, piers, bus terminals, public transport, and other parts of the city where people usually congregate.
