Combined operation by Agora police station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 10) has arrested a 28-year old man who sells dried marijuana to students at Lapasan National High School (LNHS) Wednesday afternoon.

Agora Police Station Commander Chief Inspector Ariel Philip Pontillas identified the suspect as Leonilo Licayan alias “Bo-gi,” 28-years old and a resident of Sitio Kolambog, Lapasan, this city.

Pontillas said the apprehension came after school authorities asked for police assistance to apprehend several students inside the school campus who had a pot session inside the comfort room.

Police arrested the four suspected minors and was able to know of Licayan duing their interrogation of the minors.

“A buy-bust operation was immediately conducted after Licayan identity was revealed and his location selling marijuana to students and other prospective buyers in the area,” he said.

He said the operating team used a confidential informant who accompanied PO1 Virgilio Dagcuta who acted as poseur buyer and already brought in marked money composed of four twenty pesos bills.

The suspect then was arrested after giving away two teabags of alleged dried marijuana fruiting tops in exchange with P80 to the poseur buyer. The marked money was recovered from the possession, custody and control of the arrested suspect.

Recovered from the possession of Licayan were 11 teabags of alleged dried marijuana.

Licayan is now detained at Agora Police Station and recovered marijuana were submitted for qualitative and quantitative examination before the PNP 10 Crime Laboratory.

He was charged for violation of section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165.

Lapasan National High School (LNHS) teacher Lito Estoque said a student reported to the security guard that a pot session inside the school comfort room.

He said the students will be subjected for school policy under “Students in Conflict with School Policies”, under the guidance of the school policy.
