LIBERAL Party presidential candidate Manuel Roxas II spoke for over 20 minutes before a crowd at the Asian College of Science and Technology gym here, raised the hands of his local bets, and then snubbed reporters who had waited to interview him on Wednesday night.

Roxas evaded reporters who were positioned for an “ambush interview” as he stepped into a white van, leaving disappointed reporters, Mayor Oscar Moreno and other LP candidates here.

Roxas earlier appealed to the crowd for support for his campaign to pursue President Aquino’s “matuwid na daan” program for another six years.

He said the same thing during the Transport Leaders’ Summit at the Capitol University (CU) where he wooed the National Alliance of Transport Organization headed by Paul Sempron for support.

Roxas promised a government program that would allow public jeepney drivers and operators to avail of legitimate loans rather than be victimized by loan sharks.

He criticized opposition leaders whom he said wanted to end the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Roxas was also in Gingoog City to join Mayor Marie Guingona in the two-day “Serbisyo Caravan,” and Iligan City where he also raised the hands of LP’s local candidates.
