TODAY’S solar eclipse will be 80 percent visible in Mindanao, a government weather specialist said yesterday.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Romeo Aguirre said the solar eclipse would also be 60 to 70 percent visible in Cebu.

It would be seen from 9 am to 10 am.

In Malaysia which is located near the earth’s equator, it would be 100 percent visible.

The last solar eclipse occurred on March 20, 2015 but it was only visible in Dubai.
