Rollo said this is because because the central office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) have not yet sent the IDs to the local Comelec office.

The reason remains unclear at presstime.

Rollo said the non-delivery of voters’ IDs caused many to complain since 2014

Meanwhile, Rollo announced a 3.2-percent increase in the number of registered voters in the city or from 186,087 in 2013 to total 192, 269 this year.

Rollo said some 296 voting machines would be used here in the May elections. The machines however have yet to be shipped to the city.
