THE PDP-Laban yesterday threatened to file charges against employees of the Camiguin provincial government for allegedly engaging in partisan political activities openly.

Dr. Manuel Jaudian, president of the PDP-Laban chapter in Camiguin, wrote to Adam Torres, regional director of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), and complained about what he said was the glaring use of government manpower resources for purely partisan political undertakings in Camiguin.

Jaudian, a candidate for congressman in Camiguin, said his group has started listing down the names of erring government employees and has been gathering evidence in preparation for the filing of cases for violation of civil service rules.

Jaudian also informed Torres that the CSC office in Camiguin “is not performing well on this matter or probably, Camiguin province is not part of the jurisdiction of the CSC.”

He asked Torres to inform him about the procedures in filing formal complaints against erring government workers even as he alleged that many regular government employees from the capitol down to the municipal levels have been violating the law with impunity in Camiguin. (hg)
