SOME writers use pseudonyms for various reasons. If it is being resorted to for reasons other than destroying another person, then it is to be respected. But hiding under a pseudonym to attack another is pure cowardice.

It’s hard to argue with this kind of person because he can attack with malice without feeling guilty or having any moral responsibility.

I know one who’s been criticizing another harshly to a point that his use of words border on the unprintable. But I still admire him for being himself instead of using a pseudonym.

But the other one, well, I love to debate with him if he chooses to come out in the open. I know he is a learned person, more educated than I am. But it’s not about education. It’s about being honest.

Let us be fair. Let us respect biases without polluting one’s opinion.

My pair of geese, a Basilan-bred rooster and a pair of goats have finally found a new home in Libertad, Misamis Oriental. They have joined the ducks earlier brought to the place, and I have young ducklings.

One thing about farm animals is that, you can’t keep them in a place that doesn’t look like a natural home. In Libertad, they feel like they’re in their natural habitat, free to roam around, and breed whenever it’s time.

I have one fear though. It’s the lack of rain. The water system that we tried to put up is not yet finished. But we are hopeful because Kapitan Alex Namocot promised to help make it a reality, soon.

In addition to the water system, we will also put up a rainwater harvester. The animals and the gardens we plan to make would require a lot of water. We’re not taking chances. I would like to see the neighborhood achieve selfeliance on the daily supply of vegetables.

A portion of the road going to our small plot of land is now being concreted. The rest being graded, it has become less taxing for my car to go there. Thanks to the LGU of Libertad.

If things turned out as planned, I might opt to retire and lead a quiet life.

For the nth time, “Knock, knock” will be out for a week at most. It’s a treat for my better half postponed several times due to my involvement with the volunteer groups campaigning for Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Rep. Rufus Rodriguez. Since the signs are already clear, maybe it’s time to relax and escape from the hectic schedules that we face.

I’ll be comfortable while away because the people I am working with are dedicated and capable, willing to sacrifice personal money, time and effort.
