TWO prevailing weather systems has brought cloudy skies with rains in some areas in Mindanao and most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The state weather bureau said the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ), a belt of calms and light winds between the northern and southern trade winds of the Atlantic and Pacific, has been affecting southern Mindanao. Pagasa said there is also a tail-end of a cold front prevailing over northern Luzon.
