AUTHORITIES are set to file cases for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act before the City Prosecutor’s Office against three drug suspects today.

Bulua operatives is set to file case for violation of R.A. 9165 and R.A. 10591 against the drug suspects.

On Friday, a joint operation of Bulua Police Station 7 and the Regional Anti-iIlegal Drug Special Operation Task Group/Regional Intelligence Group Section (RAIDSOTG/RIGS) conducted a buy-bust operation to weed out top listed drug suspects in the Barangay Anti-Drug Illegal Council (Badac) in Barangay Pagatpat.

Chief Insp. Arvies Altiche identified the suspect as Marvin Lanas, 36, listed as no. 2 in Lambat Sibat and listed no. 2 in the Badac list; Junrel ‘Bemboy’ Villanueva,  30, and ranked no. 5 in Lambat Sibat and listed no. 3 in the Badac list; and Jay Mangayan, 40, all from Barangay Pagatpat.

“We conducted buy-bust operation after we received reports that Lana and other suspects were seen in the area,” he said.

The suspects were among the top personalities in the area who have been known to sell and use illegal drugs, Altiche added.

Recovered from the suspects were one piece medium size heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu approximately weighing 0.5 grams and recorded ordinary buy-bust money of P1,000-bill bearing serial number UN081696.

They also recovered one piece medium size heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu approximately weighing 0.7 grams and one Unit ZH&K mobile phone color black and drug paraphernalia like improvised aluminum foil used as gutter, improvised aluminum foil used as tooter, improvised aluminum foil used as needle, 10 pieces empty transparent cellophane and two disposable lighters.

Police also recovered one caliber .45 pistol Colt, bearing SN 931854 inserted with one magazine loaded with three live ammunition reportedly owned by Lanas.
