Police arrested Yusoph Duamaong, 24, of Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental, and brought him to Police Precinct 1.

The traffic aide, Gilbert Duldulao, said he flagged down Duamaong because he was driving a motorcycle without a helmet.

Duldulao said Duamaong tried to evade apprehension but he (Duldulao) managed to catch him at the corner of Apolinar Velez and Chavez Sts.

He alleged that Duamaong then landed a punch on his face.

According to Duldulao, he would press charges of physical injury and traffic violation against Duamaong.

Duamaong said he was not able to control his temper because “gapangwarta lang ang RTA sa Divisoria.”

He alleged that many of his friends were victims of “corrupt” RTA personnel.
