FORMER mayor Pablo Magtajas was rushed to the Cagayan de Oro Polymedic Medical Plaza in Kauswagan, this city, where he has been placed under intensive care.
This reporter checked with the hospital yesterday afternoon and, from a distance, saw Magtajas being administered with oxygen. He was conscious, and a woman was watching over him.
There was no medical bulletin from the hospital.
His daughter, Councilor Suzette Daba, said her father was “getting better pero nasa ICU (intensive care unit) gyapon.”
She said laboratory results showed that the former mayor’s condition was improving but she did not say exactly what Magtajas’s ailment was.
This paper learned that aging Magtajas was rushed to the hospital on Monday, and has since been under intensive care.
His physician, Dr. Aquello Roberto Bacal, was busy attending to patients. (nitz arancon)
