Cotabato City — Former drug surrenderees of Buldon, Maguindanao will undergo drug testing to ascertain if they still have been taking drugs.
Buldon Mayor Abolais Manalao said it is important to test the drug surrenderees, to test if they really renewed themselves.
Manalao said should there be somebody who would test positive of drug use, the local government will investigate the drug surrenderee and track down where the illegal drugs are coming from.
He also stressed that the local government provided the drug surrenderees with rice assistance and put them on a sports program to keep them away from illegal drugs.
Earlier, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-Armm) has already declared two drug-cleared barangays in the same town.
