POLICE over the weekend apologized for mistakenly stating that a drug suspect they caught late last week was working for a fastfood in Divisoria.

Senior Insp. Glenn Abalde, chief of the Divisoria police, said the suspect, 37-year old Danilo Duria, was working for another food establishment called  Kagayanon Litson, and not Tapsi Time in Divisoria.

Abalde said the confusion was because Duria was seen coming out of Tapsi Time prior to his arrest.

“Gipaadtoan gyud nako sa investigator didto sa Maharlika ang suspect ug na-clarify nga sa Kagayanon Litson diay siya nagtrabaho ug dili sa Tapsi Time,” Abalde said.

Abalde apologized for the wrong information from the police.

The apology came after the management of Tapsi Time denied that Duria worked for the establishment.

Duria, a resident of Bolao, Barangay Iponan, was arrested by the police after he was caught with six packs of suspected shabu during a buy-and-bust operation on Pabayo St. last week.

Police alleged that Duria was a drug supplier.
